High School vs. College
I loved my last high school, it was the best 3 years of my life. My freshman year of high school I went to Mount Alvernia High School and although I made a lot of friends there, I wasn't happy. I transferred to Fontbonne Academy my sophomore year and never regretted it. I have been going to an all-girls Catholic school since 7th grade. I made the best friends I have ever made in my whole life and we are still a very tight and close knit group even though we are all away at school.
THE BLACKOUT
Part two of my exciting start at Nichols College is the blackout on Halloween. A few of the hockey girls went to KJ's house in Plymouth, MA. It was a lot of fun and it was great to spend time with the team off campus, away from school and away from hockey, we were able to just hang out and be goofy. A few of us went back to KJ's a second time and went trick or treating. It was a lot of fun and I wouldn't change it for the world. I loved hanging out with everyone and being crazy.
Hurricane Football
My freshman year here at Nichols sure started off with a bang. First there was a hurricane in which some people were asked to evacuate and there was a power outage. I was going crazy cooped up in my dorm so I got a bunch of the other freshmen together and we played football out in the rain in front of Sham. It was one of the greatest times of my life. I had brought together a bunch of strangers and if it weren't for that day, I wouldn't be friends with some of the people that I am friends with now.
seasons and rainy days
I hate rainy days because they make me sad. I like it when the sun is out and shining bright. I like being able to walk outside in shorts and a t-shirt and be comfortable. I also really like the fall because I love watching the leaves change and jumping in leaf piles. I could also live in sweatpants and a sweatshirt, when I can go outside in that and not be too hot or too cold, that is prime time fall season. I love the summer and going to the beach. I also really like the laid back attitude that comes along with it being summer. I love the winter because that's when hockey season begins. I love snow and Christmas. I hate rainy days because I hate being cold. I hate when you're walking outside with pants on and the bottom of your pants get wet, that's one of my biggest pet peeves. You can't do anything when it's raining and I'm miserable walking in the rain. However, I love when it's pouring out because then you can play football in the mud and I love mud football.
JORDAN JOANN FENCL
Jordan Fencl is my best friend here at Nichols College. She is from Solon, Iowa, her favorite color is purple, her favorite number is 15 and in high school she won best eyes, personality, sense of humor, most athletic. She was All-State 4 four years in a row in basketball, she scored her 1,000th point on November 13, 2010. Jordan got 100 points in two seasons for hockey and got 300 points all four years, she also captained her team her freshman year of high school. She was athlete of the year as a sophomore, her jersey number is retired and hanging in her home rink along with a 6ft cut out of herself. She also won state-track her junior year of high school but then quit her senior year. She was first team for soccer her freshman year, she played left striker.

ShamTown
Shamie is one of the many dorms on the Nichols College campus. It is located in the back of the campus. A majority of Shamie or "ShamTown"'s residents are freshmen but there are a couple sophomores that reside there along with other upperclassmen that are RAs. Shamie is a place all it's own and it was a great way to meet people in the beginning of the year because everyone would just walk around and introduce each other. ShamTown is also fun when it came to the hurricane and blackouts. During the hurricane in the beginning of the year a bunch of freshmen went outside of Shamie and played football in the mud, it was awesome. Then during one of the black outs football boys and hockey girls played capture the flag and manhunt all through out the building, it was so much fun. Shamie can be wicked messy and repulsive but it's still a good place to live.
Failing Digital Apps
Last time I checked I was failing the class that I am blogging for, Digital Apps. I got really depressed after I found out because the class is so easy but I just couldn't figure out how to do the assignments correctly or remember to get them in on time. I am so used to getting assignments and passing them in the next day. I am awful with time management because I am the biggest procrastinator that you will ever meet and the fact that I have so much time in between classes doesn't really help. I hope that by sophomore year I can manage my time better and not fail.
AMBER MARIE AASKOV
Amber Marie Aaskov is one of my best friends. She is on the hockey team with me and I love her so so much! We are line mates and it's great:) we always pick each other up when we are down because that is what teammates do. Amber is a twin, her twin's name is Jacki but Amber is older than her by five minutes. Amber's favorite color is purple, her favorite number is 15 and she is my neighbor. It took me a month to be able to tell her and Jacki apart but now it's really easy and I feel like they're not even twins. I am laying down next to Amber as I blog about her, she says hi!
